Steel Mill Worker turned Art Director.

I imagine on paper this all this looks pretty odd. A steel mill worker who wants to pivot to a creative career. I feel like I’ve been creative my entire life. From making music, to retail merchandising for streetwear stores, to actually designing t-shirts for my own brand. Having a full time creative job seemed impossible until I stumbled upon the world of advertising. It’s a world I hope to join soon.

I’ve been working at a steel mill now for about 6 years. The work is hard, the days are long, and the dirt is unforgiving. I’ve recently graduated from The One School. A program started by The One Club for Creativity for Black creatives to teach the skills needed to work at an advertising agency. With this knowledge I hope to make a career pivot into something a bit cooler. Literally. If you see something you like in my portfolio let’s chat!

Photos from a zine I made called “Scenery”. I dedicated it to my Father because he always tells me to be aware of my surroundings.

The many voices that speak to my creativity.

Inspired by an old Rolling Stone cover I saw. Tackling the tough subjects here.

If you scrolled this far down you might as well know I was once an emcee. The height of my career was being able to perform at The World Famous SOB’s in New York City.
