2011 was a good year for me. I grew as an artist and a person. I visited a lot of places that I’ve never been and pushed myself to be something greater. I’ll never feel like I did enough, but looking back I did do a lot. Whether you’ve been following me since Soundtrack to Greatness or just heard of me the other day, sit back and relax as I break down my favorite moments from this year.
NO GAME 7 VIDEO
This was my 1st video I had ever done and the 1st time people had heard from me in awhile. It was kind of like a reintroduction.
Dee Goodz – Gotta Have It from CASSO on Vimeo.
This video got A LOT of burn on some of the most popular blogs in the internet world. (2dopeboys, OnSmash, AllHipHop, HipHopDx) The fact that I produced the track and got so much recognition really helped to push my brand.
TMTE LISTENING PARTY
This really helped to propel TMTE and generate a buzz for the project. We had a lot people to come through and show love and everybody had a good time! Shouts to the good folks over at Phatkaps for opening up the spot and letting me use it.
THE RELEASE OF TMTE
My favorite project to date. If you haven’t heard it yet you can peep it here. Someone actually told me that this tape is timeless. Not too far from the truth. I’m just sayin’.
“RANDOM THOUGHTS PT. 2″ VIDEO
My 2nd video and one of the dopest days ever in my entire life. Shouts to my bros over at Attention 2 Detail.
“FIRST DAY OF SUMMER” RELEASE
Shouts to Openmic for killing this track! This song ended up on The Smoking Section and DJBooth.net! A great day indeed. If you haven’t heard the track you can stream it below.
1ST LIVE PERFORMANCE AT THE BOTO JAMFEST
Shouts to everyone over at 2lsonacloud.com. They’ve been down since the beginning!
“HENNESSY FLOW” VIDEO

SNEAKERS X SPEAKERS WEEKEND
Shouts to the good folks over at SneaksxSpeaks. I was VERY grateful for them adding me to the bill. Definitely one of the best weekends EVER.
So there you have it. 2011 was an awesome year! I really didn’t even notice until I was eating breakfast this morning. 2012 will be even more glorious! Stay tuned!
Candid coming soon….. directed by my brothers over at Attention 2 Detail.
Full video dropping soon. Just had to let yawl know that I’m working!

So if you follow me on twitter, you probably noticed a lot of tweets about New York, the subway, and dope instagram pics. I spent the last 3 days here and it was awesome! I haven’t had this much fun in awhile. The people here are really nice (especially when they find out where you’re from). During my visit there were a few things I noticed I couldn’t live without while here. And it seemed like everybody (that was smart) had all of these things. Shouts to mans Meezy too! If you’re coming here anytime soon peep the list. You won’t regret it!
1. Some sort of mp3 player. The horns and sounds of brakes and profanity in other languages gets old REAL quick. It’s cool to have some type of music to listen to while walking through the city or riding the trains. I would recommend to use your phone to do so. It definitely saves pocket room. (Something you really need)
2. Metro Card. This is what you gets you access to the trains. If you don’t have one of these you can end up paying hefty cab charges or walking longer distances than Moses. Depending on where you’re going and what time it can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes to get where you’re trying to go.
3. Smart phone. Apps like google maps and urban spoon saved my life. There is no way I could have made it where I was trying to without these. Plus it helps you to not look like a tourist by asking questions. Just look up the address and google maps tells you what train to take and everything.
4. Phone charger. Coming where I’m from, you end up being in the car a lot so having a car charger does me just fine. Not in NYC. If you’re using your phone the right way the juice will be gone like a chilled bottle of Simply on hot day. I learned this the hard way. Nothing worse than being out in streets with a dead phone.
Of course, this isn’t everything you need to survive in NYC but these are the basics. Some of the other things I noticed is that everyone is in a rush. One of the best places to meet women (In my opinion) is the train. Both of you are chillin’ right? Why not strike up a conversation? That’s all i got today. I need to take these headphones off and focus before my plane leaves and I get stuck here. Remember what happened in Austin? Yea, not really trying to go through that again. I’m out.
Thanks to everybody that came out! I had a really good time and got a lot of good feedback from the show. Shouts to the good folks at 2Lsonacloud and itsa2d too!

Living to see 25 is enough for me. Oh and that NY trip. 7-23
