So yesterday I did a post on Mos Def’s “Umi Says” for Music Monday. I said that I first heard that song on a Jordan commercial. It got me to thinking how dope Jordan commercials were and still are. A lot of them have of good music in the background. Here are some of my favorite ones.

I was really hurt when I heard that Teddy Pendergrass passed away. It’s crazy because it didn’t occur to me until this morning that I had used some of his music to sample for a beat I did for I Make Music (see Across the Room) and something that might possibly be on S2G: A Look at Love. Checkout what inspired to make those songs. R.I.P Teddy
So I’ve heard this song a lot of times, but for some reason when I heard it a couple of days ago something was different. Last night I was working on S2G: A Look at Love and I came across it again. This is what was birthed. Maybe one day I can get B to sing on one of my originals…..

Soundtrack II Greatness: A Look at Love

First of all, I want to send a big shouts out to everyone who has supported my music the past couple of months. From Soundtrack to Greatness to I Make Music, thanks for letting me share my thoughts and feelings with you. Next up is Soundtrack II Greatness: A Look at Love. As far as I know this will be the last S2G. I don’t want the idea to get played out House Party after part 2. Basically, S2G: A Look at Love will have the same format as the first one. All the movie excerpts will pertain to issues that have to do with love, relationships, and everything that comes along with those. There is no definite release date. It won’t be Valentines Day, I know that much. Until then check out this yet to be titled track that might make the album.

This might sound wrong but Sho Nuff was one of my favorite songs as a child. I still love it till this day. If they ever play it in the club I go crazy!!!
People always ask who my influences are when it comes to producing. Music wise, I would say I was raised by Timbaland and Dr. Dre. Just Blaze is my uncle, DJ Paul and Juicy J watched me on weekends and The Neptunes were those cousins you always thought were sooo cool. Here are some tracks produced by my influences.
